NFC the key selling point in Sony's new camera

The key selling point behind the RX100 II is the camera’s Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, as Sony Australia marketing manager for Digital Imaging Ervin Quek explained.

“Sony’s strategy behind NFC is to simplify the connection of its RX100 II with One-touch to smartphones and tablet to upload images straightaway to their favourite social networking site.” 

“Usually connecting devices can lead to frustration and confusion. One-touch products eliminate this frustration. Simply touch two NFC products together and within moments, they're connected.”

 

Gotta love the NFC devices coming out ... fingers crossed for Sony's NFC Smart Watches

'Sony Xperia’s Twitter account has published two teaser images along with the hashtag #MAE13, which is the official hashtag for the Mobile Asia Expo taking place in Shanghai next week.

The first message says “1 in 3 smartphone users want smart wrist wear” while the second message simply says “tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock” along with an image of the Sony Smartwatch.'
